Pell pitched Crabfood a concept for a medley of his two songs "Show Out" and "Basic Beach," that would hit upon a fun night out at the club with friends, celebrating the camaraderie of music, rhythm, and joyful excess, within a retro theme. It's a graphic gala of vinyl art, 70's wallpaper, turntables, and dancing, that is then carried into a world that follows a more literal narrative, of Pell’s amorous pursuits.

Aaron Keuter also gave an interview to Pigeons & Planes about the process, which you can read here.
