Teaming up with Life is My Movie Entertainment, Crabfood developed the artistic direction for all graphic and animated assets for the film "Incarcerating US," a documentary film that exposes America's prison problem, and explores ways to unshackle the nation through vital criminal justice reforms.

We worked with the director of the film, to capture a brand representing the very, difficult reality of the United States' prison system. Utilizing dark grey and orange hues with bold typefaces, we sought to capture an almost dystopian feel to reflect the very cold reality of the American Criminal Justice System.

That brand would then inform the creation of a set of animated infographics and title sequences, that were used to clearly communicate statistical data, and model the systems by which our criminal justice system has been mishandled.
